The exhibition “Stars without Heaven – Children in the Holocaust” by the International Holocaust Remembrance Authority Yad Vashem sheds light on the unique fate of children during the Holocaust.
The Jewish community underwent enormous social and family upheavals during the Holocaust. Children who grew up in this reality lost their childhood. The drawings, poems, letters, and toys on display in this exhibition attest to children’s unique ability to hold on to the power of life and to confront the reality surrounding them with creativity, imagination, and optimism.
This exhibition will be on view at the Jewish Museum Creglingen through June 7, 2026.
